Bi Deltoid Shoulder Measurements
As part of the CAA regulations, all North Sea helicopter passengers need to have the width of their shoulders measured by specifically-trained staff.
Those with a shoulder width of more than 55.9cm (22”) will be classed as extra broad (XBR), and will be allocated a helicopter seat by a window compatible with their shoulder size.
Those with a shoulder width of 55.9cm or less will be classed as Non-XBR.
The Workers Health Fee for the measurement and certification is £50 exc VAT
