You will need to pass a medical examination for offshore workers before you can work offshore in the North Sea.
The OGUK Offshore Certificate is valid for two years and allows you to work in the UK and Norwegian sectors of the North Sea.
During an OGUK Offshore Medical with Workers Health you will complete the medical components below:
Patient Questionnaires
Urinalysis – a urine test with an immediate, visible result
BMI – calculation of Body Mass Index using height weight formula – (Weight Kg/Height m squared)
Simple vision tests – Near, Distance and Colour
Heart rate and Blood Pressure Measurements
A Peak Flow test of your Lung Function
Hearing test – Audiometry
Medical Examination with an OGUK accredited doctor
Shoulder measurements may be included if requested.
